After learning about Fire Safety and devleoping oral language on the theme of 'The Fire Station', the children in Junior Infants were delighted to have a surprise visit from the fire engine.

After listening to stories, watching video clips, playing in the fire station role play area and using all our newly acquired vocabulary in the classroom, it was lovely to meet the firefighters in person and expereince whai it might be like to be a real fire fighter. We had a great time using the massive hose and having a good look around all the comparments in the fire engine. Huge thanks to firefighters Alexie and Philip for taking the time to visit us. We had so much fun!
