Here we go again! I hope everyone is keeping well. I have presented this plan of work in a daily format but feel free to do whatever suits you best. Please do not feel all work must be completed as I am aware every family situation is different so do as much as you can. I can be contacted using the email address given via the school email that was sent earlier today.
For the Maths activities you might like to look at our Planet Maths ebook on folens.ie, as their workbooks were not sent home. Set up is as follows:
Go to folensonline.ie and select register.
Select Teacher. Fill in a username, email and password.
For Roll Number use the code Prim20. Search Planet Maths 1st Class - Select ebook - Topic is Capacity pgs 104-105 (these can be used a guide to activities.)

Comprehension based on Winchilla Makes Dinner. Answer the questions in blue B2 copy. Title and date your work.

4. What would you cook for your friends?

Maths: Capacity (pg 104 on ebook). A fun activity to do at home. Capacity is how much a container can hold.
Activity1: Using an egg cup, cup, bowl, jug and water. Important to estimate (make a clever guess) before measuring. They can record this in a spare copy or sheet, as books are not at home.
Estimate and measure : How many egg cups of water will fill the bowl? How many egg cups of water will fill the cup? How many egg cups of water will fill the jug? How many cups of water will fill the jug?

Maths: Capacity continued: The Litre (pg 105 in ebook). Look around the house for items that are measured in Litres (l). What else can be measured in litres?
Activity 2: Using a glass, egg cup, cup and an empty litre container. Estimate and count: How many glasses of water will fill the litre container? How many egg cups of water will fill the litre container? How many cups of water will fill the litre?

Sp: Call out the spelling test and children can record in their test in copy. Call out any 12 tables from 6+ and 7+.

Easter: Write a letter or design an Easter card for a relative or friend you have not seen over the past number of weeks.

Please feel free to correct spelling tests/ MYM activities. Try not to jump ahead and do extra pages in workbooks that were sent home.
