We have been very busy learning all about the butterfly. In our Art classes we made beautiful clay butterflies. In Science we learned about the life cycle of the butterfly, and we also got to see the real thing in our classroom.
We had our very own butterfly garden. Every day we saw the caterpillars grow and grow, until they were ready to make their little cocoons. After a week or so, they emerged from their cocoons as beautiful butterflies! We gave each of them a name and fed them for a few days. Then it was time to set them free in our school garden.
