We took part in a live, interactive session with the children's author Rachel Bright. Rachel began by reading her new story 'Humphrey the Whale Who Wanted More'. This was followed by a guided drawing session of Humphrey the Whale, and another of her famous characters, The Love Monster. Take a look at our wonderful sketches!
Rachel then read another of her books 'The Lion Inside'. We had to join in with sound effects for each of the characters!
Finally, Rachel shared some good tips on how to create characters for our own stories, and how to write imaginative stories. These will be very useful as we begin to work on our Narrative Writing genre!
