As part of our History lessons we have been learning about 'When my Grandparents were young'. The children interviewed their Grandparents about life when they were growing up.

We learned lots about where they lived, the games they played, school in the past and how they spent their summer holidays. We were amazed to find out how much all of our Grandparents had in common, even those who lived in other countries! We thoroughly enjoyed sharing our interview answers with the class and talked about how life in the past differs from life now. We were delighted that so many Grandparents accepted our invitation to come and visit us in school. There was great excitement as our special visitors arrived into the classroom. We enjoyed some rhymes and songs together before sitting down to a nice cup of tea! Thanks to all who came and made this a very special day for the children in Junior Infants.
