The chidlren in Junior Infants love stories so we celebrated World Book Day 2022 by spending time reading our favourite stories.

We had a pyjama and hot chocolate day where we enjoyed stories with some home comforts! We went to Easons and used our Book Day tokens to purchase a book for each child to take home. Our play areas were also dedicated to stories. We set up a puppet theatre and the children used the puppets to retell their favourite stories. The audience purchased their tickets and treats and enjoyed the show while munching on pop corn. The children in the small world area built houses for the three little pigs and created a play area to explore the story 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears'. We had great fun working on this theme and lerned lots about retelling stories, characters and settings in the process.
