Hibernation Station

This challenge allowed students to experiment with different forms of insulation and renewable energy and how these are applicable in the real world.

They had to design a station that would hold at least three animals using the materials provided to make it as warm and cosy as possible. The children loved experimenting with the materials and all had very different ideas for how their hibernation station should function.

Snowball Structures

Children were required to be as creative as possible in order to create a three dimensional shape using marshmallows, toothpicks and spaghetti. They found this a challenge as they had to think for themselves and work as a team to make a sustainable design.
