Monaghan Model School celebrated Seachtain na Gaeilge between the 1st and 17th March 2023.

Each class celebrated the Irish language in different ways. Some classes learned new Irish songs, some completed PE through Gaeilge and some used ICT to promote the language.

The whole school celebrated Seachtain na Gaeilge together in St Patrick's Church. This was a brilliant day all round. Everyone wore a green item of clothing for the day. The church was like a sea of green when everyone was seated.

Each class performed a rhyme, song, dance or a drama for the rest of the school. It is fair to say the children performed to a very high standard. Well done to all!

At the end of the assembly, each class teacher awarded a 'Gaeilgeoir na Seachtaine' from their classroom. Congratulations to those who achieved a certificate.
