The Airport - Aistear Theme
We flew our own aeroplanes in the yard. We recorded how far our plane went and then measured how many metres this was using a metre stick.

Other activities included playing pilots in the cockpit. Building an aeroplane in construction and creating a very busy run way in small world play.

School Tour To The Farm
Playing with the farm toys, playing in the sand, visiting the Fairy fort and getting a tractor ride were just some of the activities we got to experience. Some of the animals we saw and fed included ducks, birds, sheep, goats, dogs and hens. Perhaps the highlight of our day was getting a horse ride.

At the end of our theme on ‘The Farm’ we had some furry friends to visit. Hunter the pig, Lilly the lamb and some hens. Must not forget the vet Alan who brought lots of vet equipment. We got to try on calving aprons and gloves, listen to Hunter’s heartbeat and take him for a walk. A very exciting day for us all.
