In November 5th & 6th Classes visited the museum's wonderful exhibition on the P38 Lightning that crashed in Co. Monaghan in 1942. We had a very enjoyable morning examining artefacts, video simulations
of bombings of Monaghan and hearing stories of people from the locality involved in the initial events and the archaeological dig that led to this exhibition. We even saw German maps outlining targets for a possible attack. The highlight of the morning was, of course, dressing up to enter the replica cockpit of the Spitfire. Even Mrs Kelso got to have a go!
