Maths week is a time for us to demonstrate to the children how fun Maths is and how this subject plays a major role in our everyday lives.
During this week I registered the children on a new website where they can practice all concepts taught in class and I can monitor their progress. This proved very exciting for the children but also highlighted how unfamiliar some children are with the workings of a mousepad and keypad.
Second class were learning about 2-D shapes and so they had to create their own shape monster and bring it to life by naming it and giving it a history on how it came to be on earth and what it was here to do. They really enjoyed being as creative as they wanted to be with this activity.
