Hello boys and girls!
I am so sad not to be able to see you in the classroom, especially as I missed you all so much when I was off sick in December. I hope Santa was good to you and you all got what you asked for. I also hope you’ve been keeping safe and enjoying lots of fun in the snow!
I have planned some work for you to be completed over the next two weeks. Remember to only do what you can manage and what is suitable to your home situation as I am aware that lots of mammies and daddies are trying to look after you at home while working hard at the same time.

If anyone was absent when textbooks were being sent home the school will be open on Tuesday 12th from 11am to 2pm to facilitate collection. Please let Mrs. Mills know in advance if you are collecting books so she can have them organised for you. The school mobile number is 0860577885.

I have decided to lay the work out on a day to day basis but this is only a guideline, you can do more or less depending on what you have going on at home.

Monday 11th January
Read p. 64 in The Grumpy Teaspoon
Write and learn the spellings in Box 41, p. 28 in your Spell Well.
Put the four spelling words into sentences.
Complete p. 66 “Fractions” in Planet Maths. (Colour neatly and use a ruler to divide each shape in “C.”)

Tuesday 12th
Read p. 64+65 in The Grumpy Teaspoon
Write and learn the spellings for Box 42 in your Spell Well.
Put the four spellings into sentences.
Complete activity “A” on p. 67 in Planet Maths. (You may need some help from an adult to finish these pictures as some are quite tricky.)

Wednesday 13th
Read p. 65+66 in The Grumpy Teaspoon
Complete Activity “A” on p. 67 of your Grumpy Teaspoon. (Remember to use full sentences, capital letters, full stops and accurate spellings.)
Write and learn the spellings for Box 43 in Spell Well.
Complete activities “B” and “C” on p. 67 in Planet Maths. (You will need help from an adult for these.)

Thursday 14th
Read p. 64 – 66 in The Grumpy Teaspoon.
Complete activity “B” on p. 67 in The Grumpy Teaspoon.
Write and learn the spellings in box 43 in Spell Well.
Complete activities “A” + “B” on p. 68 in Planet Maths. (Use a ruler when dividing the snake into quarters.)

Friday 15th
Complete activity “C” on p. 67 in The Grumpy Teaspoon.
Spelling test on boxes 41-44.
Complete p. 29 in Spell Well.
Complete activities “C” + “D” on p. 68 in Planet Maths.

It’s the weekend!!!

Monday 18th
Log onto the Seesaw app and listen to your Irish reading of Am don Léamh p. 12.
Write and learn the spellings in box 45 on p. 30 in your Spell Well.
Complete activity “A” p. 69 in Planet Maths. (Ignore the cm and cent and just double the number before it to get the answer. For example 3cm is half of 6cm, 4 cent is half of 8 cent)
Maths Challenge Test 13.

Tuesday 19th
Use the Seesaw app again to listen to the reading of “Carr Nua” on p. 12 of Am don Léamh.
Write and learn the spellings in box 46 in Spell Well.
Complete activity “B” on p. 69 in Planet Maths. (You will need an adult to help you with this.)
Read p. 68+69 in The Grumpy Teaspoon.

Wednesday 20th
Read “Carr Nua” on p. 12 in Am don Léamh.
Complete activity “A” on p. 13 of Am don Léamh by writing in each word and adding “ί” in the blanks.
Complete activities “C” and “D” on p. 69 in Planet Maths. (You will need the help of an adult with “C” and remember to colour the half of the picture that you draw in “D.”)
Read p. 70+71 in The Grumpy Teaspoon.
Write and learn box 47 in Spell Well.

Thursday 21st
Read p. 68-71 in The Grumpy Teaspoon.
Complete activity “A” on p. 72 in The Grumpy Teaspoon.
Write and learn spellings in box 48 in Spell Well.
Complete activities “A” and “B” on p. 70 in Planet Maths. (You will need adult help with B especially.)

Friday 22nd
Spelling test on boxes 45 – 48 in Spell Well.
Spell Well p. 31.
Complete activities “C” + “D” on p. 70 in Planet Maths.
Complete “B” on p. 72 of The Grumpy Teaspoon. (You can do this orally if the written work is too much.)
