In June we were delighted to have a visit from Kathleen from the Irish Water Safety Association. We learned lots of useful rules for keeping safe in water in lots of different settings. She also taught us how to throw a float or other object to save someone who is in difficulty in the water.
We were also amazed to learn that even someone as young as a 5th or 6th pupil can be trained in performing CPR after phoning 999 for help and even in how to use a defibulator to save someone’s life. She showed us how easy it is to turn on the machine and to follow the instructions while waiting for help to come. Click Image to Zoom.
