Our first priority in Junior Infants is to develop the children's fine motor skills in preparation for writing.

This is a very important stage of the writing process and we have spent the first term in school working hard on using our 'pinchers' and building strong muscles in our hands. We do daily 'finger aerobic' exercises and engage in lots of playful activities that are concentrating on developing fine motor skills that will make holding the pencil securely and forming letters a lot easier.
