After learning all about fire safety and developing oral langauge around the theme of 'The Fire Station', Junior Infants were pleasantly surprised by a visit from the fire engine.

This was such a lovely way for the children to use their newly acquired language and get a feel for what is would be like to be a real firefughter. After experiencing the powerful hose, questioning the fire fighters and have a look in all the compartments of the fire engine, the children returned to class feeling very excited! Huge thanks to firefighters Alexie and Philip for the visit. We all thoroughly enjoyed it!
